Sori Yanagi‘s Butterfly Stool

蝴蝶凳由日本老牌设计师柳宗理设计。柳宗理将民间手作的温暖融入到了冰冷的工业设计中，是日本现代工业设计的奠基人之一。这款凳子将对称美学发挥到了极致。据说这款产品是柳宗理无意之间折出来的造型，手工制作的弧度不仅轻盈，更透着手感的温暖，让人发自内行想要使用它。这款蝴蝶凳也被MoMA，Vitra等设计博物馆永久收藏。

The Butterfly Stool is design by Japanese designer，Sori Yanagi. With his designs, Sori Yanagi achieved significantly more than the bridging of East and West. Active in the post-World War II era, he created pieces that embodied the optimism of the new industrial age without losing the delicacy and lightness that is so indicative of traditional Japanese design. First designed and manufactured in 1954, it now resides in the Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art, among other fine museums worldwide.
