Russell Woodard‘s Sculptura Occasional Chair

今天要介绍的是由设计师Russell Woodard设计，Woodard Furniture Company出品的。1956年，这款具有现代感的椅子问世，Woodard 也成了第一家没有使用昂贵的注模技术，生产艺术感十足的造型家具。Woodard的公司也一炮而红，一年的家居生产量超过十万。这款椅子使用手工技术让金属丝弯曲成型。所有的部分都采用防锈涂层，使得它有了室内外使用的兼容性。

It just so happens that our CEO, John Edelman, grew up with the Sculptura Collection (1956). When he heard that Woodard was bringing it back into production, we partnered with them on its return, much to the delight of Sculptura fans everywhere. This collection is handcrafted of iron wire mesh that evokes wicker furniture, molded to cradle the contours of the human form. All pieces are treated with rust inhibitors to withstand the elements, making them suitable for use indoors and out. Sculptura was added to the Cooper Hewitt’s permanent design collection in 1994.
