Romano Marcato's Yo Adjustable Side Table

今天要介绍的是由意大利设计师Romano Marcato设计的Yo Adjustable Side Table。Marcato在1970年完成了他的力学学位，并开始从事精细工具和机械的设计。之后，他成立了自己的自己的设计公司，Lapalma，专攻可调整的（家具）技术。他的这款Yo Adjustable Side Table 可以通过气阀柔滑的上升和下降，也可以通过旋转调整桌面位置，形成O形路径。而桌腿是个Y的形状，桌子Yo的名字从此而来。

Romano Marcato received his degree in mechanics in 1970. After years of designing precision tools and machines for use in the automobile and electronic industries, he co-founded Lapalma, a company that specializes in the art of adjustability. Designed to have the fluid mechanics and ease of industrial machinery, his Yo Adjustable Side Table raises and lowers smoothly via a lever-activated gas piston. It features an offset design for flexible orientation near sofas and chairs, marked by a sturdy Y-shaped steel base fitted with an easy-to-clean round Fenix top – the name “Yo” is a nod to the combination of these two shapes. Made in Italy.
