After earning his degree in furniture design from Kingston Polytechnic in 1979, Matthew Hilton opened a design studio in London, and he’s been creating innovative, classic pieces ever since. This is the same Cross Extension Table (2005/2016) his fans have come to love, now updated with a few changes we think everyone will appreciate. Most noticeably, it’s fitted with a tabletop that’s been enlarged four inches in depth for more elbow room, then finished with a solid wood chamfered edge for comfort and durability. Hilton also made small changes to the proportions to make this table more elegant and refined than what he originally designed in 2005. The tabletop expands with a simple, smooth pull, allowing insertion of up to two leaves for three possible table widths.
