Achille Castiglioni‘s Fucsia Pendant Lamp

今天要介绍的是由意大利著名设计师Achille Castiglioni设计的Fucsia Pendant Lamp。Achille Castiglioni最常使用的是铝或是不锈钢等日常材料作为设计的基础材料。而使得这些简单材料发挥出最大的作用正是这位天才的过人之处。这款吊灯能够为餐桌或是办公桌同时提供直射和散发性的光线。外部的经磨砂处理的玻璃也能使得光线十分柔和。

From the master of modern lighting comes a light source within a reversed glass cone that provides both diffused and direct light over a dining table or desk. The blown-glass cone is sand-blasted at the edge to avoid glare and finished with a translucent silicone ring to protect cones from movement. Modular design allows installation as a single pendant, a row of multiple pendants or a composition of cones whose shape recalls the flower for which the lamp is named.
